Top Ten Books for Early Readers

My five year old kid is in kindergarten and has started to read level 1 books. She has now mastered the sight words and is well on her way to reading. She now picks up books and read some of the level 1 books on her own. This has only happened, however, because she started learning with just the right books.

Before we get to our list of the best books for beginning readers, there’s one thing you should know. There are a lot of good books in the market to select as per your kid’s understanding at present.

We tested out a Bunch of kindergarten books, and in my opinion, those that had simple stories really kept her engaged and she learnt better.

When it comes to beginners , the more times your child reads a book, the more he will hone and sharpen his skills, and the more his fluency improves. Since practice is key when it comes to reading, repetition is awesome. Hence , these are some books we think, worth trying for.

It revolves around a fun-loving, mischievous Fox who wishes to be a tiger. Tigers are big and fast and sneaky. So he decides to become one!

It is an adorable little story with super cute illustrations, but teaches a lot in the process. I love the way it introduces the concepts of division and multiplication in a very simple way (i.e. do you buy your shoes in two sets of fifty, or five sets of twenty?).
